A customer relationship management system (CRM) stores customer and sales information. AI and automation may help keep it useful without adding as much manual work.
Start with information
A connected form can create a record; AI may suggest details from an approved email or call summary. Check accuracy, permissions and duplicates.
Prepare the next step
A rule can create a follow-up task or reminder. AI can draft a message for a colleague to edit. Agree who approves communications and how failures are reported.
Measure and maintain
Test one process, compare time and quality with today, and review outdated records. A connection or AI tool will not automatically keep every record correct.
Choose a single handover
For a new enquiry, identify the required fields, the owner of the customer record and the colleague who receives the follow-up. A rule can create a task; an AI tool might prepare a summary for review if the team is permitted to use the source.
Test a new contact, an existing contact and an enquiry with missing details. Check for duplicate records, confirm that the task reached the right person and make failed transfers visible. Keep approval of customer messages with the people responsible for them.
